SUPPLY LIST - WHat to bring to class

• Cardstock for journal cover -

such as cereal or other food box. It needs to measure at least 6.5 x 6.5 " square when folded in half.

• Tape to bind pages into cover -

The most practical is painter's tape, artist's or masking tape, or paper (washi) tape. I recommend 3/4-1" wide.

• Scissors - you and a pal can share one

• Glue stick - I like UHU brand - goes on purple, dries clear

• Paper for journal pages -

Anything goes that is not too shiny (hard to write on): old envelopes, book pages, paper bags, watercolor/sketch paper, old scrapbook paper, wallpaper samples. We will be priming/painting some of the pages with acrylic and watercolor, so some of the paper you bring should be thicker than printer paper.

• Flat "sable" (soft brown bristles) art brush 1/2"-1" Can be a synthetic "cheapy" from craft store - need not be anything fancy - you'll just be schlepping paint!

• 3-4 small bottles craft acrylic paint - colors of your choice Again, nothing fancy - use the cheap 99 cent bottles from Michaels or Walmart or what you already have.

• Misc. art supplies optional -

Is there something of yours that you would really like to use? By all means bring it! I will have a limited number of personal art supplies (watercolor paint and pencils, markers, guoache, paper scraps) you may borrow for the afternoon.

• Found objects, momentos, souvenirs, ephemera optional -

Anything goes! it's YOUR journal! Include whatever speaks to you! These can be added at a later date, i.e. as you write in your journal.
